About

Hello — I'm Hannah Lunam

I've been tattooing since November 2025, working from my own home studio in Ottawa, Ontario. I specialise in fine line and script — anything from a small, quiet piece to something larger and more involved — always drawn custom for the person wearing it.

I take one client at a time and draw every piece from scratch. That means fewer appointments than a walk-in shop, but it also means the design belongs to you and nobody else is walking around with it.

If you've never been tattooed before, say so when you write to me. It changes nothing about the work, but it changes how I plan the day — shorter session, more breaks, and time to talk through what's about to happen.

How a session comes together

Five steps, usually two to four weeks from first message to needle.

  1. 1

    Send the idea

Fill in the form below with what you want, where on the body it's going, and roughly how big. Attach reference images if you have them — they help more than descriptions.

  2. 2

    We talk it through

I'll come back with what's possible, what it'll cost, and how long it'll take. If it's a big piece we'll meet or call first.

  3. 3

    A deposit holds the date

$50 secures your slot and comes off the final price. Move the date with a week's notice and it moves with you.

  4. 4

    Session day

Get a good night's sleep, eat beforehand, and come hydrated. Skip alcohol the night before and any cannabis or other drugs before your session — thinner, altered blood makes the tattoo harder to do well and harder to heal. Wear something that gives easy access to the area. You'll see the final drawing before anything starts.

  5. 5

    Healing

You'll leave with written aftercare and my number. Message me at any point if it looks wrong — I'd always rather you asked.

What does it cost?

Priced by size, so you know roughly what to expect before you write in:

  • 2–3″ — simple linework, small symbols or words $50–75
  • 3–5″ $80–120
  • 5–7″ $150–200
  • 7–10″ — forearm panel, small back piece $250–350

Bigger or more detailed pieces are quoted individually once I've seen what you have in mind.

How old do I have to be?

Either 18, with photo ID on the day, or 17 with a parent present and a signed consent waiver, which I'll provide ahead of time.

Does it hurt?

Yes, but less than you're imagining and it's very manageable in short sittings. Ribs, sternum, hands and feet are the honest exceptions.

Are touch-ups included?

One free touch-up within six months, as long as the aftercare was followed. Sun damage and picking aren't covered.

How do I pay?

The $50 deposit can be paid by e-transfer (no tax) or by card through Square (tax applies). The remaining balance is due on the day of your appointment and can be paid by cash, e-transfer, or card through Square — cash and e-transfer carry no tax, card payments do.
